Valerie  Hodgson PT, DPT, NCPT, LMT

 

Valerie Hodgson opened this clinic in August of 2008.  Val is a  Physical Therapist, Massage Therapist and a Pilates Instructor. She received her undergraduate Physical Therapy training at Northeastern University graduating in 1992, Massage Therapy training at Bancroft School of Massage Therapy graduating in April of 2002, a transitional Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Simmons College in June of 2006 and most recently graduated from Polestar Pilates completing her training in rehab Pilates in July of 2007. She is also a certified Pilates Instructor through the Pilates Method Alliance. Val had the pleasure of working as an educator for Polestar Pilates. Dan Hodgson​ BS, BA

 

Dan was able to join the practice full time in May of 2009 becoming the office manager and taking over all of the office work. He is able to meet the challenge of the ever changing rules of the different health care companies head on with a positive and patient attitude that makes their office run smooth. If you are in need of therapy and unsure if we take your insurance please do not hesitate in contacting the office and talk to either Val or Dan at 508-822-1135. We are happy to answer any questions.

Diane Cordeiro PT, OCS, CFMT, NCPT

Diane Cordeiro graduated from Bowdoin College with a bachelors in Biology in 1982 and then received a master's in physical therapy from Emory University in 1985. In 1996, Diane was certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists. In 1999, she was certified as a functional manual therapist (CFMT™) from the Institute of Physical Art. Diane has been treating in outpatient for over 25 years.  Diane began taking pilates classes in 2009, she was so pleased with the changes in her own body that she began instructor training.  Diane graduated from Polestar Pilates in 2012 and became a certified pilates instructor through the Pilates Method Alliance. Diane was awarded the 2022 Award for Outstanding Achievement in a Clinical Practice by the Massachusetts Chapter of the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association).

Mary Kerrigan PT, NCPT

 

Mary graduated from Northeastern University in 1980 with her BS in Physical Therapy. She has worked as a Physical Therapist in various settings over the past 35 years. She has experience in many settings including acute care, rehab, outpatient orthopedic and home care. Her main interests are in outpatient orthopedics and rehab. She is also trained in Reiki I and II and is working toward Reiki Master. She has completed the Polestar Comprehensive Training program and recently graduated from the Polestar Program. Integrating the Pilates techniques with her clients to maximize their functional level in rehab has been an exciting chapter in her life long learning. Mary is now a certified Pilates Instructor through the Pilates Method Alliance. Mary's hobbies include yoga, kayaking, Pilates, gardening and bicycling.

Cathleen Ahern PT, 

Cathleen graduated from Northeastern University with her BS in Physical Therapy in 1982. She has been in Outpatient Orthopedics for all of her 38 years as a Therapist. Cathleen enjoys treating patients of all ages and has expertise in manual therapy, post surgical rehab as well as general orthopedic injuries and diagnoses. She is a certified Kinesiotaping practitioner. Cathleen's interest in Pilates based therapy was fostered when undergoing several courses of rehab with Val. She enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, snowshoeing, walking and anything involving her dogs!

Julia Marshall, DPT 

Julia graduated from Northeastern University in 2019 with a Bachelors in Rehabilitation Science. She then graduated from NU in 2021 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. While a student at Northeastern, she was a member of the Division 1 Track and Field Team as a heptathlete and pentathlete for 4 years, which allowed her to gather knowledge about rehab and strength/conditioning through her own experience. Julia was a clinical student here at HPTP under Valerie’s supervision from February-April of 2020. During that time she was introduced to the Pilates world and has not looked back since. She has plans to complete Pilates training in the near future. Since joining this crew of experienced physical therapists, she has enjoyed being mentored by each one. Julia also works as a per dium PT at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Braintree.

Heather Danton NCPT

 

Heather graduated from the Polestar Comprehensive Series training in 2014 and is now a certified Pilates instructor through the Pilates Method Alliance. Heather has always been very active as a runner, cyclist and dancer. She danced with Spindle City Ballet in Fall River for 6 years and has practiced several forms of yoga for over 8 years. Heather has experienced the benefits of Pilates first-hand, coming to Hodgson PT and Pilates originally as a patient following back surgery. Heather is particularly excited to share what she has learned from her Polestar training to build strength, flexibility, coordination and confidence through Pilates

Doreen Quinn LMT

 

Doreen Quinn has been licensed as a massage therapist and nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork since 2007.  She soon developed a passion for fascial work through her case studies in real time in myofascial body work.  in 2010, she completed an intermediate course of study in connective tissue and myofascial therapy.
As a Berkley resident for over 25 years, she has participated in many local fundraisers, wellness fairs, school and corporate events.  Her focus is on providing a safe and comfortable environment to help you alleviate pain and combat the increasing levels of stress in today's society.
