Physical Therapy & Pilates

Now Physical Therapy, Massage Therapy and Pilates are available here in North Dighton, MA!  We are conveniently located at the corner of Old Somerset Avenue and Somerset Avenue (Route 138), in North Dighton, just 4 miles out of the Taunton Green.  We are also conveniently located for citizens of Dighton, Berkley, Rehoboth, Somerset, and Assonet.  Feel Better, get fit, or just relax here in your own neighborhood!

CLINIC NEWS

Class Changes/Cancellations:

PILATES

PHASE 3 PLAN

Classes will have a staggered start beginning the week of  7/13/2020

• Week of 7/13/2020: reformer classes and circuit classes

• Week of 7/20/2020: adding mat classes 

• Week of 7/27/2020: adding healthy bones class

 There are 2 schedule changes: 

• Monday 5 pm modified reformer will now be Tuesday at 5 pm

• Friday 4:40 pm modified reformer will now be Friday at 4 pm

General Guidelines for all classes:

• Arrive no earlier than 5 minutes prior to your scheduled class

• Register for all classes

• Temperatures will be taken upon arrival

• Wash hands prior to all classes with soap/water per CDC guidelines

• All participants will be required to wear socks for all classes (grip or regular), we ask that the socks worn for class be hand carried in and put on once you arrive

• Bring a bag to place your items in to allow for quick separation post class, for social distancing while placing your shoes back on

• There are now 2 waiting areas and will work between the 2 and the hallway to maintain social distance prior to class starting

• All classes will end 5 minutes early to allow for clean up/equipment moving

• All participants and instructors are required to wear masks during exercise in phase 3

• a water bottle is strongly encouraged to stay hydrated during class

Reformer Specific Guidelines:

• Class size will be limited to 6 participants

• The reformers will be spread out in the room into 2 rows of 3, and there will be clear plastic barriers between the machines in the individual rows.

• Each machine will have a box, jump board, non skid, kneeling pad, magic circle, and cleaning supplies readily accessible

Circuit specific Guidelines:

• New Format/limited to 6 participants

• All of the circuit equipment will be spaced 14’ apart per Massachusetts Reopening guidelines

• Each of the 6 stations will have 3 exercises, performed for 2 minutes each with a rest time between to make appropriate adjustment in the equipment. Post the 3rd exercise the station will be cleaned and then stations will be changed in an orderly fashion to maintain social distancing.

• cleaning supplies will be readily available at each station

• This is a rough outline of the circuit format only

Mat specific Guidelines:

• Due to limited capacity guidelines set forth by the state, the mat class is limited to 7 participants 

• Please call and register to reserve your spot

• Call ASAP if you are unable to make it due to the limited spaces available

• Heather will continue to teach the 5:45 pm Zoom class on Thursdays.

• Tues/Fri Zoom classes will continue through the week of 7/13/2020 and will end once mat classes begin in the studio (except for Heathers on Thursday)

Healthy Bones Guidelines:

• Socks will be worn throughout 

• No walking activities will be performed, limiting the class to sitting/standing activities

• Only 7 participants due to occupancy limitations

• Must be able to wear a mask for 45 minutes

In regards to Physical Therapy:

• all patients/family members have temperatures taken each visit

• anyone entering the facility must wear a mask/face covering per Governor Baker's executive order starting 5/6

• all patients/therapists wash their hands prior to treatment (CDC recommended 20 sec)

• patients are kept at least 6 feet apart while in the clinic and also in the waiting area (now there are 2 waiting areas)

• all surfaces are sanitized throughout the day (high traffic areas) and all surfaces used during treatment are sanitized immediately post treatment

• anyone exhibiting symptoms consistent with the COVID-19 virus are asked to cancel and reschedule when symptom free per CDC guidelines
